From reducing our environmental impact, to supporting education through training and talent programmes, to giving back to our local communities with our charitable initiative ABBIE- ESG is part of who we are.\nROLE PURPOSE\nKey duties & responsibilities:\nOversee and lead client projects, effectively project managing challenging technical advice\nmanaging and building client relationships\ndelivering strategic advisory services across private client\nBe a vital part of the management team who is involved with day-to-day team operations, ensuring internal and external targets and deadlines are met, including supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering the strategic objectives of the department\nPlay an active role in the development and growth of the firm by identifying and progressing opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace, seeking new opportunities and securing new work, with the support of the business development team work\nBe recognised as a “go to” technical expert in all areas of private client advice, such as Inheritance Tax, Trusts, Estates, succession planning and shareholder transactions and present as a specialist both internally and externally\nReview and sign off complex Self Assessment Tax Returns\nLiaise with external advisors as appropriate to deliver high level tax advice\nProvide quality briefing to staff on delegation of work, with appropriate and ongoing support\nContinually and independently develop technical expertise to maintain market leading specialist client service, sharing technical expertise with clients and wider market\nTake responsibility for sharing technical expertise across the team and wider firm to both manage and facilitate development of connected service lines\nBuild practical solutions, offers recommendations and be able to demonstrate to clients the value of this work, with due regard for risk\nActively maintain long standing, trusted client relationships on behalf of the firm\nExperience & qualifications\nRelevant professional tax qualification (e.g. CA, ATT, CTA, STEP or similar)\nPrevious experience of working in a similar role including particular technical experience as detailed above.
