From reducing our environmental impact, to supporting education through training and talent programmes, to giving back to our local communities with our charitable initiative ABBIE- ESG is part of who we are.\nROLE PURPOSE\nSupporting (and supported by) the Head of Risk & Compliance, co-ordinate Risk & Compliance (R&C) workstreams throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from pre-acquisition due diligence through to post-completion integration.\nProvide a key link between the AAB Risk & Compliance team, integration team, acquired entity leadership, and operational stakeholders. Act as a trusted point of contact for R&C-related integration issues.\nSupport the integration of acquired businesses into AAB's risk management, compliance, insurance, regulatory, governance and business protection frameworks in a controlled and proportionate manner.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nRisk & Compliance Aspects of Integrations\nSupport and coordinate R&C due diligence and pre-acquisition activities for potential acquisitions.\nTrack and monitor R&C mitigation actions arising from due diligence.\nDevelop and maintain detailed R&C integration plans for acquired entities.\nCoordinate delivery of integration actions across multiple workstreams and stakeholders. Monitor progress against agreed milestones, deadlines and deliverables - feeding into the integration team programme managers.\nEscalate integration risks, issues, delays and dependencies in a timely manner.\nSupport required notifications, registrations, approvals and regulatory filings arising from acquisitions.\nSupport onboarding of acquired entities into AAB insurance programmes.\nMonitor post-acquisition regulatory commitments and remediation actions.\nSupport change management and communication around R&C integration activities.\nSupport the AAB R & C team and provide a key coordination role in:- implementation of AAB policies, procedures and control frameworks within acquired entities.\n- integration of AML, sanctions, complaints, whistleblowing, data protection, information security, ethics and professional standards requirements.\n- embedding AAB risk management processes, registers and reporting arrangements.\n\nR&C Team Support:\nContribute where general R&C activities span integrated and non-integrated entities.\nSupport delivery of group-wide risk, compliance, governance, insurance and resilience projects as capacity and acquisition activity allows.\nAssist with monitoring, reporting and investigations where responsibilities overlap multiple entities.\n People &Leadership:\nCoach and support direct inline (if relevant) with their career aspirations\nProvide constructive feedback and knowledge sharing\nContribute to a positive ad inclusive team culture\nParticipate in recruitment, performance review and talent development activities where applicable\nKey Accountabilities\nThe role holder is accountable for:\nCoordinating delivery of R&C integration actions for acquired entities - monitoring and supporting progress against agreed milestones, deadlines and deliverables.\nEscalating R&C integration risks, issues, delays and dependencies in a timely manner.\nExperience & qualifications\nEssential\nAbility to proactively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.\nStrong project management and action-tracking capability - organised and delivery focused.\nEffective use of technology alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills\nHigh level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail\nResilient and comfortable operating in changing environments.\nConfident in challenging and escalating issues where appropriate\nCollaborative and supportive team player - a strong relationship builder.\nDesirable\nExperience of risk, compliance, governance, or regulatory roles within professional services, financial services or other regulated environments.\nExperience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations or organisational change programmes.\nExperience of multi-project or programme management.\nStakeholders\nList of key stakeholders and boards for this role:\nStakeholder - Head of Risk & ComplianceRelationship - Line Manager\nInteractions - Day to day role delivery\n\nStakeholder - Head of IntegrationsRelationship - Colleague\nInteractions - As part of project integration teams\n\nStakeholder - M&A PartnerRelationship - Colleague\nInteractions - As part of project acquisition teams\n\nStakeholder - R&C Management TeamRelationship - Colleagues\nInteractions - Coordinating R&C integration activities; supporting wider R&C team in delivering integration and ongoing activities.\n\nWHAT AAB OFFER\nWe want you to feel supported inside and outside of work.
