From reducing our environmental impact, to supporting education through training and talent programmes, to giving back to our local communities with our charitable initiative ABBIE- ESG is part of who we are.\nROLE PURPOSE\nKey duties & responsibilities:\nDelivering the firm’s compliance services to include the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns for both small to medium enterprises as well as large corporate groups. \nPreparation and filing of income tax returns for company directors, professionals and other high net worth individuals. \nLiaising with Revenue in connection with client matters and cooperating with clients to ensure that any problems are resolved. \nResearch Irish tax legislation and Revenue guidance in support of client work. \nAssisting with VAT and capital taxes as needed including the preparation / submission of returns and dealing with various ad hoc queries. \nParticipate in internal training and actively work towards professional tax examinations. \n Main Tasks:\nCorporate and Personal Tax Compliance. \nSupport to Assistant Managers, Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners in the delivery and execution of tax advisory work. \nAttend client meetings when appropriate to develop and strengthen client relations and gain exposure to client interactions. \nDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of the services offered by your department and the wider firm. \nAssist with tax administrative tasks to ensure the overall management of the compliance process runs smoothly. \nIdentify client service and process improvements and, in conjunction with the wider team, actively promote ideas and suggestions, and participate in all business improvements as part of the firm’s commitment to continuous improvement. \nExperience & qualifications\n Required Qualifications / Education:\nCompletion of Leaving Certificate or equivalent examinations. \nHave successfully attained an undergraduate degree or above in any subject (2:2 classification or above is preferred). \nTax Trainees will be required to complete a professional tax qualification with the Irish Tax Institute or an accounting qualification with Chartered Accountants Ireland. \nPreferred Experience:\nPrevious experience is beneficial but not essential. \nRequired Attributes:\nThe ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.\nA strong sense of integrity and authenticity. \nAttention to detail, along with numerical problem-solving skills. \nGood knowledge of Microsoft Excell and other general IT skills. \nA knack for overcoming challenges to maintain strong business relationships. \nWhat We Offer:\nStructured training and support towards professional tax qualifications. \nPractical experience across a broad range of tax services. \nMentoring and guidance form experienced professionals. \nOpportunities for career development and progression. \nCompetitive salary and benefits package including study leave and other support in line with company policy. \nSalary Transparency\nThe salary range for this role is €27,000 - €29,000.\nOffers are determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal alignment within the team.\n\nWe do not request or consider candidates’ previous compensation as part of our hiring process.\n Disclaimer\nUnsolicited CVs sent to AAB by Recruitment Agencies will not be accepted for this position.
