This position performs the essential functions of a millwright with extensive welding applications and perform maintenance engineering functions and repairs for all plant mechanical equipment.\nEssential Functions of the Position:\nDay to Day preventive maintenance of the Industrial Mechanical systems\nWeld/Repair and fabricate from scratch a multitude of projects with and without supervision\nCommunication with the operators to obtain knowledge of what system is malfunctioning\nPerform basic computer tasks to log data into preventive maintenance system and work order system\nPerform basic maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.\nPerform basic plumbing and pipe fitting skills (i.e., perform structural repairs to buildings, platforms, machinery, utility piping and structures at times in elevated positions)\nInstall modifications to existing equipment as required\nWork in a team-oriented facility\nAssist in the development of solutions to operating problems and improvements as required\nPerform administrative tasks as assigned from time to time\nRequirements\nFormal Education and Certification\n· High school diploma or equivalent.\nWork Environment/Physical Demands\nAbility to work 8 hr. shifts (nights, days, weekends, holidays, with some overtime and on-call responsibilities).
