Join us and help revolutionize energy for a sustainable future.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Designer / Draftsman with expertise in Siemens NX (or similar) and a deep understanding of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing detailed drawings and mechanical designs that are critical to the development of our advanced nuclear reactor systems. We are not looking for mechanical engineers to fill this position.\nWhat you'll do\nCreate and maintain precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Siemens NX. \nDevelop technical drawings that comply with ASME Y14.5 standards, including detailed GD&T. \nCollaborate with mechanical engineers and cross-functional teams to transform concepts into manufacturable and testable designs. \nMaintain drawing packages through multiple design iterations and ensure design intent is accurately captured. \nSupport the documentation and configuration management of all design materials. \nParticipate in design reviews and contribute to process and quality improvements. \nQualifications\nProven experience as a mechanical designer or draftsman in a technical or engineering environment. \nStrong proficiency in Siemens NX drafting and modeling tools. \nSolid understanding and hands-on application of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. \nExperience with mechanical component and assembly design. \nExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, accurate drawings. \nStrong organizational and communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in the nuclear, aerospace, or energy sectors. \nFamiliarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter or similar systems. \nGeneral knowledge of manufacturing techniques and how they influence design decisions. \nExperience supporting regulated design environments with high safety and quality standards\nRequirements:\nBased in the United States\nWilling to work on-site in Austin, TX and Idaho Falls, Idaho\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary based on technical level \nHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nCorporate Gym Membership\nAdditional Information:\nAalo Atomics provides a collaborative and supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, intellectually challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
