Join us and help revolutionize energy for a sustainable future.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a Project Manager to drive project execution for our Aalo-X/Aalo Pod experimental reactor at INL. This role will be responsible construction project management, including securing bids from general contractors, managing onsite construction activity, maintaining a comprehensive safety program, and ensuring compliance with applicable quality codes and requirements. Additionally, they will be managing schedules, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring deliverables are met on time. You will work closely with engineering, regulatory, manufacturing, and DOE/NRC stakeholders to keep our ambitious timelines on track.\nKey Responsibilities\nDrive project execution for Aalo-X at INL, ensuring DOE authorization milestones are met.\nLead construction project execution for Aalo-X, with daily site visits as required.\nDevelop and maintain schedules, budgets, and risk management plans to keep projects moving forward.\nAlign cross-functional teams, including engineering, licensing, manufacturing, and external partners.\nManage stakeholder engagement with DOE, NRC, national labs, and commercial partners.\nTrack and report progress, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks.\nEnsure regulatory and technical milestones are met for both Aalo-X and Aalo-1 deployment.\nQualifications\n8+ years of construction project management experience in nuclear, energy, industrial, or advanced civil construction.\nDemonstrated experience working directly for an owner or serving as an owner’s representative, with responsibility for managing design teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.\nProven track record of delivering complex projects on aggressive timelines from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.\nExperience managing project scope, budget, schedule, risk, procurement, change control, and contractor performance.\nExperience working with DOE, NRC, or other regulatory bodies is a strong plus.\nStrong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nAbility to manage multiple workstreams, make informed decisions, and drive accountability and urgency across teams.\nPMP or similar certification is a plus.\nWhy Join Aalo?\nLead high-impact programs shaping the future of nuclear energy.\nWork alongside top experts in advanced reactors and clean energy.\nBe part of a fast-moving, execution-driven startup environment.\nRequirements:\nBased in the United States\nWilling to work on-site in Austin, TX or Idaho Falls, ID\nWhat It Takes to Succeed at Aalo\nWe're building technology that will help reshape the future of energy.
