You'll deploy to the field to install, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate Spacetime-orchestrated SATCOM systems for customers who need them to work flawlessly, in real-world conditions, under real-world pressure.\nWe're looking for engineers who bring genuine range. The strongest Spacetime Field Engineers move comfortably across electronics, software, RF, mechanisms, cabling, and networking. That breadth is what lets you operate independently across the full spectrum of SATCOM deployments, from terrestrial ground stations to airborne, shipborne, and satellite terminals.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDeploy to customer sites, test ranges, and demo locations to set up, configure, and operate Spacetime-orchestrated SATCOM systems\nLead site surveys, installation, configuration, and commissioning for terrestrial, airborne, shipborne, and satellite communications deployments\nPerform hands-on mechanical assembly and integration across a variety of antenna hardware and mechanisms\nSet up and configure SATCOM terminals, and integrate them into a customer's existing network environment\nTroubleshoot complex issues spanning RF/transceiver behavior, mechanical mounts, and network integration, often in time-sensitive field environments, using engineering-level debug interfaces\nMonitor systems during demos and test events; track, download, and interpret performance data in real time\nPerform basic Linux system administration: installing packages, updating software, identifying missing dependencies, and conducting first-level debugging\nSupport equipment teardown, data collection, and post-event field reporting to inform internal teams of deployment conditions, performance, and lessons learned\nCollaborate with R&D, Solutions Architects, and Mission Engineers to translate field feedback into product improvements and ensure successful customer onboarding\nDeliver technical training and documentation (setup guides, maintenance procedures) to customer engineering teams as needed\nSupport pre-sales engineering through technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept deployments\nRequired Qualifications:\nWillingness to travel domestically and internationally for field deployments (up to 50%), sometimes on short notice\nComfort working hands-on with a variety of mechanical hardware and mechanisms\nWorking familiarity with RF communications and transceiver fundamentals\nFamiliarity with networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6) sufficient to integrate a terminal into a customer's network\nAbility to quickly learn and navigate engineering-level and debug user interfaces\nComfort with Linux and able to install packages, update software, identify missing dependencies, and perform basic troubleshooting\nStrong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders\nA proactive, independent problem-solving mindset, comfortable in diverse and sometimes challenging field environments\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDirect hands-on experience setting up and configuring SATCOM terminals (GEO bent-pipe through fully regenerative systems, including Starlink-class systems)\nHands-on experience with point-to-point or point-to-multipoint RF wireless systems\nProficiency with RF test and measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Communications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline\nActive U.S. Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one\nExperience in aerospace, defense, satellite communications, or telecom domains\nWhat We Offer:\nInnovative Environment: Work at a cutting-edge company shaping the future of aerospace communications.\nImpactful Work: Directly contribute to critical national security programs and initiatives.\nGrowth Opportunities: Expand your career with opportunities for professional development and advancement.\nInclusive Culture: Be part of a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive workplace where your contributions matter.\nFlexibility: Flexible working arrangements including hybrid remote/in-office schedules.\nCompensation and Equity: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits (401(k), dental, vision, health, life insurance), paid time off, and equity options.\nITAR/EAR Requirements:\nThis position involves access to export-controlled information.
