We are building new capabilities and skills within the team, so the role demands a lot of mentoring, upskilling, and contribution in bringing best practices in Software Development and implementing processes around them. We are establishing a new Product function in the department and there will be close collaboration with the Product owner in building new products and services in the next few months. We’re looking for someone with empathy and people-centric mentality who can also execute and work hands-on to lead by example.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead and mentor the development team, driving technical excellence and upskilling members \nArchitect and build new products and services (SaaS, plugins and more) \nImplement Software Development best practices and processes that fit the Agile methodologies’ philosophy \nCollaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to discover needs and find the best ways to address them technically \nTake on hands-on engineering work, writing and reviewing code, unblocking impediments and guiding the rest of the team \nMonitor the impact of delivered solutions and drive continuous improvement \nRequirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\n2+ years of experience managing Software Engineering teams \n7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, having built web applications, products and solutions \nPython experience \nPeople-centric approach in team management, looking after your team members, their well-being and their professional growth \nExperience with microservices architectures, containerized applications with CI/CD pipelines and working on cloud infrastructure \nDeep understanding of Software Design Patterns and OOP practices \nExperience with Agile methodologies \nGreat communication skills and enthusiasm to talk to stakeholders and clients \nComfort working in ambiguity - moving quickly with limited resources, but clear intent. \nA balance of vision and execution: you can set a direction and roll up your sleeves to deliver.
