Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nAudit medical records across multiple specialties to validate clinical documentation supporting evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, diagnoses, and specialty-specific documentation requirements; identify gaps and missed opportunities while meeting quality and production standards. Auditor will review project guidelines to ensure deliverables are on-time and meet client-specific requirements.\nResearch regulatory, payer, and specialty-specific guidelines for supporting documentation when necessary.\nPrepare audit summary findings, provide detailed specialty-specific comments related to audit findings, and make recommendations that support documentation improvement and coding accuracy.\nConsistently maintain production standards for job role, and quality metrics of 95% or greater.\nResponsible for maintaining department audit standards, advanced clinical documentation standards, protocols, and specialty-specific guidelines.\nSupport team with department key performance indicators and goals (SLAs).\nEmbrace workforce transformation by engaging in continuous knowledge expansion across additional functional areas and/or upskilling (learning new skills) to support evolving organizational and client needs. \nContribute to organizational optimization by collaborating to identify opportunities for process improvement and supporting continuous enhancements to workflows and operations that promote quality and efficiency.\nPrepare oral and/or written reports of audit activity to Manager meeting with them on a regular basis to review individual performance, mentoring, and succession planning. \nExpectations:\nMinimum 5 years of auditing experience\nExtensive auditing experience across multiple specialties, including the ability to interpret complex documentation and coding scenarios\nExtensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS and other national coding and compliance guidelines\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to “own” an entire project\nDetail oriented and deadline driven attitude\nAbility to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks\nStrong computer skills (Excel, Word, and internet)\nAbility to multitask and keep a sense of urgency\nExcellent customer service skills\nStrong time management, organization skills, and work ethic\nRequires long periods of time sitting and using keyboard and mouse.\nCertification Requirements:CPC® \nRHIT or CPMATM \nSpecialty Credentials preferred\nAttributes:Humble - Learns, adapts, and improves relentlessly.
