The Quality Engineer must have experience and working knowledge with ISO 9001, AS 9100/9110/9120, FAA 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 145 and EASA, as well as US Department of Defense regulations (FARs, DLADs, DFARs, etc.).\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nParticipates as key team member in the measuring and monitoring aspect of supplier performance by ensuring accurate data is maintained in the Non Conformance Reporting (NCR) system for Product Conformity and On-Time Delivery systems are in place for tracking, reporting and maintaining supplier performance; including supplier development and improvement actions.\nAbility to create power point presentations and hold meetings in relation to supplier performance.\nIssue, maintain and follow-up on internal and supplier Corrective Action Requests.\nAbility to validate product conformity to approved engineering drawings.\nCoordinate with suppliers Quality departments to disposition nonconforming product.\nThorough understanding of First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.\nThorough understanding of surplus parts traceability requirements.\nSupports receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities and/or personnel to ensure product quality is maintained.\nProvides investigation and RCCA for quality escapes, aircraft damage events and safety issues for business units, as required.\nAssist business unit quality system managers to construct, write and revise quality/safety system related document to support business needs (ISO, AS, FAA, etc.).\nParticipate in the planning, execution, and follow up of Internal Audits\nParticipate in the execution, and follow up of 3rd party and Customer Audits\nAll other duties as assigned.\nSUMMARY\nThe Quality Engineer is responsible for reviewing and addressing supplier performance and initiating continual conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and quality standards.
