This is the QE focus area most embedded on the shop floor.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective action investigations (8D, 5-Why, fishbone/Ishikawa) for nonconformances originating in internal manufacturing process /products.\nDevelop and maintain Control Plans and Process FMEAs for new and existing production processes.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) by participating in design reviews and developing process control and quality-planning strategies for new work.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering on tooling, fixture, and process-change qualifications.\nTrack and report internal quality metrics by process/work center: first-pass yield, scrap/rework, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).\nSupport internal ISO 9001:2015 audits as the technical subject matter expert for production process controls.\nPatrols and monitors work areas, examining tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.\nEnsures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting environmental health and safety, as well as quality.\nContinuously reviews the economics of the quality program and makes recommendations.\nSUMMARY:\nDesigns and installs quality control processes, sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques.
