Coordinates with other functional areas on the requirements and obligations of importing and exporting commodities and data under Foreign Trade Regulations.\nWhat you will be responsible for:\nResponsible for providing clear and accurate clearance instructions to AAR customs brokers and carriers.\nMaintain awareness of countries of concern and red flags and assist in evaluation of transactions based on risk analysis.\nUnderstand and apply US Customs Import and Census Export regulations regarding valuation, marking, classification, trade agreements, and special provisions. \nAssist in auditing, record keeping and compliance requirements for all Import and Export shipments or transactions to include Licenses, aircraft, aircraft related shipments and reports. \nUnderstand trade compliance laws and regulations such as the CFR Titles 15 and 19, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, and implement industry best practices in accordance with those laws and regulations. \nUse and keep abreast of on-line systems including but not limited to DECCS, Snap-R, and ACE Portal. and aid in training and resolving issues and errors. \nProvide guidance on operational level matters such as Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff classifications. \nUnderstand department process flows, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned. \nThis role will support the Trade Compliance team to administer and continuously improve an effective Trade Compliance program ensuring conformance with U.S. export/import laws and internal policy.
