The Role
We are seeking an Analyst, Claims Analytics to support analytic engagements that help health plans better understand claims data, identifycost and utilizationtrends, improve reimbursement accuracy, and enhance operational performance.
This role will support the analytics pod, with a focus on medical management and prior authorizationuse cases. The Analyst will work closely with Consultants and Senior Consultantsto execute analyses, develop data-driven insights, and contribute to client deliverables.
Work You’llDo
- Support claims analytics projects across payer and provider clients
- Execute SQL, pythonscriptsand analyses on large healthcare datasets
- Run Statistical analyses to support data profiling and other related analyes
- Work with medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and pricing data
- Assistin identifyingutilizationpatterns, cost drivers, and reimbursement trends
- Validate data accuracy and support quality assurance processes
- Build dashboards and reports using BI tools to support client insights
- Translate analytical findings into clear summaries and presentations
- Collaborate with Consultants and Senior Consultants on project execution
- Support documentation of methodologies and analytic approaches
- Participate in client discussions and internal working sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor'sdegree required
- Experience working with healthcare claims data or health plan datasets
- Proficiencyin SQL and experience analyzing large datasets
- Experience with Snowflake, Python, Excel, or similar analytics tools
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Basic understanding of healthcare reimbursement concepts and claims data structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and structured way
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Exposure to medical management, utilizationmanagement, prior authorization, or clinical operations
- Experience working with health plans or consulting firms
- Experience with automated analytic workflows or ETL processes
- Familiarity with healthcare coding systems including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG, and APC
- Experience building dashboards or recurring analytics reports
- Based in Chicago, IL, with flexibility to work from the Chicago office as needed

The estimated base salary range for this position is$82,000 - $97,000.Inaddition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary due to numerousfactors, including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
