This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery, content quality, and day-to-day decision-making across all pursuits.\nThe role combines delivery leadership, healthcare and business acumen, writing ownership, and effective use of AI in the proposal process. It is not a coordination-only role.\nWork You’ll Do\nRFP Delivery Ownership\nLead RFPs from intake through submission\nOwn schedules, compliance tracking, review cycles, and final quality control\nAct as the default decision-maker on delivery-related issues when the VP is unavailable\nStrategic Interpretation and Support\nApply strong healthcare and general business acumen to interpret guidance from Managing Directors and senior SMEs\nTranslate high-level or ambiguous input into clear proposal positioning, structure, and direction\nProactively identify strategy gaps, inconsistencies, or risks and elevate recommendations early\nWriting and Content Ownership\nTake direct writing ownership for proposal sections as needed, including executive summaries, approaches, and strategy-heavy responses\nEdit and finalize content to ensure clarity, concision, and executive-level quality\nEnsure consistency with AArete’svoice, POV, win themes, and differentiators\nAI-Enabled Proposal Execution\nUse AI tools effectively to improve proposal speed, quality, and consistency\nApply AI to accelerate drafting, synthesize SME input and prior material, and support compliance and redundancy checks\nEstablish clear guardrails to ensure AI output is refined, validated, and elevated AArete’snatural, direct, non-fluff voice\nCoach proposal team members on practical, responsible use of AI in proposal development\nQuality and Risk Management\nEnforce standards for clarity, consistency, and non-redundancy across all submissions\nIdentify and manage risks related to scope, resourcing, compliance, or narrative quality\nResolve issues directly where possible; escalate selectively and with options\nKey Characteristics of this Role\nCombines execution ownership with strategic judgement\nRequires substantive writing and editing responsibility\nActs as an operational deputy to the VP\nUses AI for speed, efficiency, and effectiveness\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\n12+ Years of experience in proposal management, RFP leadership, business development, and executive communications\nHigh judgment, strong ownership mindset, and low need for oversight.
