Determines resources needed, tracks budgets, determines scope, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines, and evaluates progress. Manages project teams including internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver on project goals. Establishes project communication plans and ensures internal and external stakeholders are informed regarding project processes and impact. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.\nResponsibilities:\nManages all aspects of large and complex projects that align with the strategic priorities of theorganization. Oversees all aspects of project management including project charter\ndevelopment, project scope development, project schedules, project costs, deliverable quality,\nhuman and material resource management, risk management, procurement, communications,\nand stakeholder engagement.\n\nUpdates and maintains associated project management processes, including creating andimplementing work plans, and helps to develop and implement new and evolving business\nprocesses. \n\nManages financial and procurement elements of projects, to include collaboration with andmanagement of vendor Master Services Agreements and/or Statements of Work as\nnecessary.\n\nReports on the status of projects to senior management to convey all elements of projectstatus and the impact and results of work.\n\nOversees the execution of administrative tasks as necessary, such as calendaring, organizingmeetings, processing expense reimbursements, maintaining contact lists, and assisting with\ntravel arrangements.\n\nLeads operational and/or logistical support for AARP programs and/or services.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Organizational Development, or a related field, with 5+ years of program and/or project management experience.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives and influence decision-making at all organizational levels.\nStrong cross-functional leadership skills combined with sound business judgment and operational excellence.\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProven ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to change, and drive outcomes with limited direction.\nStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering results through execution and follow-through.\nSkilled at building relationships, exercising diplomacy, and constructively challenging stakeholders when necessary.\nNaturally curious, proactive, and resourceful, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic executive discussions and hands-on tactical execution.\nAARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position.\nAdditional Requirements\nRegular and reliable job attendance\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nExhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships\nIndependent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions\nIn office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise\nHybrid Work Environment\nAARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions.
