A product portfolio spanning 3,500 SKUs is managed by capable, professional teams, robust infrastructure, and strong delivery systems to ensure availability to consumers every day. below:\n\nJob Title: Category Manager\n\nLocation: Lagos\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProduct Management:\n\nDevelop deep knowledge of product specifications, features, technology, quality and consumer requirements.\nContinuously benchmark Scanfrost products against competitors.\nAnalyse product performance and identify opportunities for portfolio improvement.\nIdentify gaps in the portfolio and recommend new SKUs and product categories.\nOwn and manage the Scanfrost product portfolio across assigned categories.\n\nProduct Pricing & Costing:\n\nMaintain detailed SKU-wise pricing and profitability analysis.\nRecommend pricing changes based on market conditions, cost movements and competition.\nAnalyse product costing, landed cost and gross margins.\nDevelop and manage product pricing based on cost, margins, competition and market positioning.\nConduct regular competitor price benchmarking.\n\nNew Product Development:\n\nWork closely with factories/OEMs and suppliers for development of new products.\nEnsure new products are commercially viable and meet Scanfrost’s quality and price expectations.\nManage the complete NPD process from concept → specification → sample → approval → production → launch.\nIdentify new product opportunities based on consumer needs, market trends and competitor launches.\nDevelop detailed product briefs covering specifications, features, target cost and target selling price.\n\nProduction & Supply Coordination:\n\nCoordinate with factories/OEMs on production planning and product requirements.\nMonitor product quality and coordinate corrective actions where required.\nWork closely with Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of products.\nEnsure production is aligned with approved specifications and commercial requirements.\nTrack production schedules and resolve product-related issues.\n\nMarket & Consumer Understanding:\n\nTrack competitor products, features, technology, pricing and launches.\nUnderstand consumer requirements and translate them into product specifications.\nConduct regular market visits and gather feedback from Sales, Dealers and Consumers.\nRecommend changes to the Scanfrost portfolio based on market intelligence.\n\nRequired Experience and Skills\n\nMandatory:\n\nStrong understanding of products, specifications, costing and pricing.\nAbility to analyse competition and market trends.\nHands-on experience in New Product Development.\nStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills.\nStrong analytical and commercial skills.\nStrong experience in Consumer Durables / Home Appliances.\nExcellent Micorsoft Excel & PPT skills\n7–10 years of total professional experience.\nProven experience in Product Management / Product Development / Category
