We are team-oriented and focused on organizational objectives and outcomes.\nAbout the Role\nThe Veterinary Application for Uniform Licensure Transfer (VAULT) Program provides licensure verification services to veterinary regulatory boards, on behalf of veterinarians and veterinary technicians. The VAULT Program Manager owns the full program lifecycle from discovery to delivery. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and cross-functional execution. You will define the program’s vision, build roadmaps, and work alongside senior leadership to design, evolve, and market to launch successful services. Along with the Sr. Manager of Programs, the Program Manager will develop and implement an annual vision plan that aims to support and advance veterinary medicine regulation.\nVAULT is supported by a highly adaptive team that consistently seeks to improve and meet service goals. The VAULT Program Manager leads a collaborative team of five direct reports, supporting them in their day-to-day work while focusing on the big picture.\nThis is a highly visible role that works with many internal and external stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategy & Vision: Define and communicate a clear vision and long-term roadmap aligned with the organization’s goals.\nMember, Customer & Market Research: Develop mechanisms to routinely gather feedback from Members and licensees, analyze trends in regulation and the veterinary industry, and assess other industry offerings to identify gaps and opportunities.\nExecution & Delivery: Translate the organization’s strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and specifications for cross-functional teams.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with leadership, technology, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth operations.\nData & Metrics: Track performance of services using key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and data analysis to guide future program iterations and improvements.\nWITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU WILL:\nEstablish relationships with the VAULT specialists and associates, learning about their strengths, working styles, and goals.\nGain an understanding of the role of VAULT in the regulation of veterinary medicine.\nLearn about the non-profit structure and governance of the organization.\nWITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU WILL:\nHave a working knowledge of the VAULT workflows and current database/operating systems.\nBe able to provide program updates to Senior Leadership and written reports in collaboration with Sr. Manager of Programs.\nCollaborate with fellow managers to understand the organization’s other programs and services and how those provide a broad support system for veterinary regulatory boards.\nWITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU WILL:\nIdentify areas for improvement in workflow and program execution.\nUse data to make informed decisions on program’s enhancements and activities.\nWork with other managers to move projects forward and make progress on the organization’s strategic goals.\nHave begun outreach to members, enabling you to speak to the challenges they experience with licensure of veterinary professionals.\nWITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU WILL:\nDevelop program’s vision plan for the coming year in collaboration with Sr. Manager of Programs and the VAULT team.\nConfidently speak about the program and the organization with Members and external stakeholders.\nNavigate competing priorities across the organization while advocating for the program (and staff’s) needs.\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer service within the VAULT team.\nProvide a steadying presence in times of change, while never shying away from trying something new.\nBalance the practical and operational needs of the departments with a strategic mindset.\nCreate a supportive relationship with your colleagues and leadership for initiatives, improvements, and projects.\nCreate lasting relationships with Members and external stakeholders, enabling you to learn and share their different needs and perspectives.\nWork effectively, efficiently, independently, and collaboratively as part of the AAVSB from a remote location or office setting, committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in non-profit organizations or government agencies, including project, program, and people management.\nExperience working with internal and external stakeholders.\nExperience serving members or customers directly. \nExperience working within a database or CRM.\nDemonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.\nPreferred:\nExperience managing a membership or customer-service oriented team.\nProgram or Product management experience\nCertified Association Executive (CAE) certification \nProject Management Professional (PMP) \nOccasional travel, including some over weekend trips, are required to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.\nDetails\nThe Program Manager, VAULT is a full-time and exempt position. Work is performed under the direction of the Senior Manager of Programs.\nSalary range: $64,000 - $68,000\nThe AAVSB is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.
