This role leads enterprise-wide inventory planning frameworks, policies, and analytics, working cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, Operations, and Procurement Teams to drive optimal inventory outcomes across all zones and business units.\nThis position plays a critical role in translating business strategy into scalable inventory models, establishing global standards, and enabling data-driven decision-making.\nThe role is based at Global Headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.\nThe Role:\nGlobal Inventory Strategy\nDefine and maintain the global inventory strategy aligned with business objectives, customer service targets, and financial goals.\n\nDevelop inventory segmentation, target-setting methodologies, and stocking strategies across finished goods, WIP, and raw materials.\n\nEstablish global inventory policies, governance, and performance standards.\n\nPlanning & Optimization\nLead the design and deployment of inventory planning models (e.g., safety stock, cycle stock, buffer strategies, postponement).\n\nOptimize inventory positioning across the network considering demand variability, lead times, capacity constraints, and risk.\n\nPartner with demand and supply planning teams to improve forecast-to-inventory integration.\n\nPerformance Management & Analytics\nDefine global inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory turns, DOI, service level, obsolescence, working capital).\n\nAnalyze inventory drivers and root causes; identify actions to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.\n\nDevelop dashboards and executive-level metrics to support strategic decision-making.\n\nCross-Functional & Regional Leadership\nProvide thought leadership and guidance to regional and business-unit inventory teams.\n\nCollaborate closely with Finance on working capital planning, budgeting, and reporting.\n\nInfluence senior stakeholders to adopt common standards and best practices across regions.\n\nTransformation & Continuous Improvement\nSupport supply chain transformation initiatives, system implementations, and advanced analytics adoption.\n\nEvaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and methodologies (e.g., digital planning, AI/ML, scenario modeling).\n\nLead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory effectiveness and resilience.\n\nWho we’re looking for:\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).\n\n7-10+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or operations, with global or regional scope.\n\nDemonstrated experience defining inventory strategies and influencing outcomes in complex, multi-site environments.\n\nTechnical & Analytical Skills\nStrong expertise in inventory planning concepts (safety stock, service levels, variability, segmentation).\n\nAdvanced analytical skills, including experience with large data sets and quantitative modeling.\n\nProficiency with planning systems (e.g., SAP, o9, Blue Yonder, or similar) and data tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python preferred).\n\nLeadership & Communication\nProven ability to lead through influence in matrixed, global organizations.\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear business insights.\n\nExperience presenting to senior leadership and driving alignment across functions.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nAt AB InBev, your ambition meets limitless opportunities.
