You don’t just report on the numbers; you own the full financial performance and strategic clarity of the organization.\nIn this role, you will have ultimate ownership over our profitability, revenue accuracy, and budget performance. By partnering closely with our CEO, Clinical Leadership, and Operations teams, you will ensure our growth is sustainable, intentional, and backed by high-level financial decision-making. Your mission is to provide the \"cash clarity\" and data-driven insights needed to scale our impact with confidence.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Financial Leadership & P&L Ownership\nOwn company-wide and clinic-level P&Ls\nProvide real-time visibility into revenue, expenses, and profitability\nIdentify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across clinics\n2. ABA Revenue & BCBA Performance Alignment\nTrack and analyze:\nBCBA billable hours vs. expectations\nUtilization (authorized vs. delivered hours)\nCaseload vs. revenue output\n\nPartner with CCO + Clinical Leadership to:\nAlign clinical expectations with financial targets\nEnsure billing practices support both compliance and profitability\n\nFlag underperformance early and provide solutions\n3. RCM & Collections Oversight\nPartner with RCM VP to ensure:\nAccurate billing and clean claims\nStrong collections (≥97%)\nReduced AR aging\n\nIdentify and resolve:\nRevenue leakage\nDelays in billing or collections\nPayer-specific issues\n\n4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Growth Planning\nOwn department and clinic-level budgeting\nReallocate resources (“move money”) to ensure budgets work in real time\nBuild budgets tied to:\nStaffing (BCBAs, RBTs)\nClient demand and authorizations\nClinic expansion plans\n\nWork with COO + Operations on:\nSupply vs. demand planning\nHiring timelines tied to revenue\n\n5. Cash Flow & Owner-Level Financial Clarity\nManage and forecast cash flow with visibility into:\nInsurance payment cycles\nPayroll and major expenses\n\nCreate clear views of:\nTrue profit (pre vs. post tax strategy)\nOwner expenses and adjustments\n\nProvide clarity on cash available for:\nExpansion\nRaises and incentives\nCapital projects\n\nEnsure financials are aligned for banking, lending, and investments\n6. Expense Management & Cost Control\nAnalyze major cost drivers:\nLabor (BCBA/RBT)\nFacilities and maintenance\nAdmin and overhead\n\nPartner with leadership to:\nSet cost targets\nImprove margins\nReduce inefficiencies without impacting care\n\n7. Systems, Reporting & Visibility\nBuild dashboards (Lightdash or similar) showing:\nRevenue (billed vs. collected)\nClinic performance\nCash flow\n\nEnsure leadership has simple, real-time financial visibility\nImprove speed and accuracy of reporting\n8. Cross-Functional Leadership\nWith CCO (Clinical):\nAlign billable expectations, caseloads, and clinical quality\n\nWith COO (Operations):\nAlign staffing, scheduling, and clinic performance\n\nWith RCM:\nEnsure revenue integrity and collections\n\nWith HR/People Ops:\nSupport compensation and workforce planning\n\n9. Financial Decision-Making & Ownership\nDrive financial recommendations and decision-making, with final approval by ownership\nEnsure budgets are not just created, but actively managed and adjusted in real time\nProvide leadership with clear financial direction for decision-making\n10. Compensation, Incentives & Leader Support\nDesign and model bonus and incentive structures\nProvide visibility into what is financially feasible for:\nRaises\nBonuses\nIncentives\n\nAlign incentives with:\nProfitability\nRevenue performance\nClinical and operational outcomes\n\nHelp leaders understand their financial impact and opportunities\n11. Compliance & Risk\nEnsure alignment with:\nHealthcare billing standards\nInsurance compliance\n\nMaintain clean, audit-ready financials\nTop Requirements\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.\nCertification:CPA\nExperience: 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience preferred.
