Abacus maintains core competencies in: IT Infrastructure Support, Network Operations and Maintenance, Communication Solutions, Systems Engineering and Integration, Cyber Security / Information Assurance, Application Development, Program Management, and Business Transformation.\n Perform Tier 1-3 deskside incident resolution of workstations, printers and peripheral devices. \nManaging Active Directory, approve systems for reimage/wipe and move to correct system active OU or system deleted OU.\nEnsure proper computer system setup/operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.\nMaintain knowledge of diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, as well as remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.\nAssist with network hardware, servers and software installation, troubleshooting and support.\nAssist with asset management and inventory of IT assets.\nAssist with security vulnerability remediation.\nReturn failed equipment to good working order and demonstrate the equipment to the user.\nWork as a team member in the installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment, peripherals, and applications.\nPerform repairs and conduct operational checks and preventive maintenance service on computer systems, related systems, and office equipment.\nWork with System Administrators to maintain the network.\n 7+ years experience in a technical support role. HS diploma or GED. Must hold one of the following certifications: A+, Network+, and/or Security+. Microsoft certification desired. A college degree may reduce the years of experience required. Experience installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals. Able to isolate equipment/system/software malfunctions and restore failed equipment to good working order. Experience conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies. Knowledge of networking concepts such as cable making/repair, IP address schema, and LAN implementation and configuration. Familiarity with video teleconferencing systems. Proficient with anti-virus software and configuration. Solid customer service skills, including good communication and the ability to demonstrate professionalism.
