Applicants with valid work permits will also be considered.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n Analyse, design, develop, test and maintain enterprise software applications.\n\n Develop and enhance full-stack solutions using Java and Angular.\n\n Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of standard software engineering practices.\n\n Apply enterprise AI context engineering principles and responsible AI practices where applicable.\n\n Design, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.\n\n Develop secure, scalable and reliable cloud-native applications.\n\n Automate development, testing and release processes to improve efficiency.\n\n Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.\n\n Provide Level 2 and Level 3 DevOps support to maintain application availability.\n\n Plan and execute application upgrades, enhancements and modernisation initiatives.\n\n Apply secure coding practices and ensure applications are protected against cybersecurity threats.\n\n Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and provide technical guidance where required.\n\n Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and software quality.\n\nSkills \nEssential Skills and Experience\n\nTechnical Speciality: Java, Angular, Enterprise Application Development and AI-Augmented Engineering\n\n Minimum of 10 years' experience developing Java applications.\n\n Strong experience developing applications using Angular.\n\n Experience with AI-assisted software development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent.\n\n Understanding of context engineering principles for enterprise AI applications.\n\n Familiarity with AI evaluation, guardrails and responsible AI practices.\n\n Strong knowledge of secure coding practices.\n\n Programming languages: Java and TypeScript.\n\n Frontend technologies: Angular and JSF.\n\n Java application servers and frameworks: GlassFish, GlassFish Micro and Quarkus.\n\n Web servers: Apache and Nginx.\n\n CI/CD and DevOps tools: Git, Maven, Sonar, Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions, build and deployment pipelines, and container registries.\n\n Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.\n\n Database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL and PL/SQL.\n\n Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nAdvantageous Skills\n\n Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and AI orchestration frameworks.\n\n Test automation and automated quality assurance.\n\n Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).\n\n Performance optimisation and application tuning.\n\n Observability, logging and monitoring.\n\n Incident management and production support.\n\n Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.\n\n Strong communication, problem-solving and technical leadership skills.\n\n Experience improving operational efficiency and software delivery
