In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, patient care, and experience working with children. This position is essential in promoting positive behavior management and helping clients achieve their personal goals.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy\nAccept and implement feedback provided by BCBA for program integrity\nTeach socially acceptable replacement behaviors;\nProvide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders\nCommunicate client progress with supervising BCBA\nAs applicable, provide transportation related to the implementation of activities as directed by the treatment plan\nCollect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan\nImplement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist.\nReview data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist to strategize program improvements\nDocument interventions and progress towards goals accurately and in a timely manner\nAssists in the creation of instructional materials\nOpenly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary\nAttends a variety of in-service training sessions and other related meetings\nDesire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.\nRequirements:\nExperience with multiple age group\nMust have experience with aggressive and self-injurious behaviors\nMust be a Certified Behavior Technician by BACB.com or have registered to take the RBT exam\nMust be CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent certified.\nMust be a U. S. citizen, legal/permanent resident, or have a valid employment authorization\nMust be certified in OSHA, HIV, HIPAA, CPR, and First Aid, or be willing to get them\nHS diploma required\nOne year experience working with children with developmental/ intellectual disabilities preferred\nMust be a team player\nCPR/BLS certified (or willing to obtain prior to hiring)\nMinimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or related disorders preferred\nAbility to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously\nOutstanding interpersonal skills and high attention to detail\nDesire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities\nClear Criminal Background.\nPhysical & Environmental Demands\nApproximately 90-95% of the time: Ability to engage in active, physical work with clients, including running, chasing, playing, lifting, kneeling, standing, walking, and climbing. May be required to implement approved physical safety interventions or restraints when necessary, provided the employee has received the appropriate training and authorization.\nApproximately 10% of the time: Ability to drive to and from client homes, schools, and other service locations as required by assigned cases.\nApproximately 10-15% of the time: For school-based assignments, ability to work outdoors with assigned clients in varying weather conditions and temperatures, as required by the client's treatment plan and school activities.\nThe physical and environmental demands described above reflect the essential functions of the position.
