Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.\nThe work model for the role is: on site\nThis role is contributing to the success of the ABB Installation Products - Portland, TN facility.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nVisual quality inspections\nPlace product in box with appropriate count in each box\nLabel product and boxes\nTape boxes\nLift and carry boxes up to 45 lbs.\nMonitor equipment operation\nAssist in training of new employees\nMaintain work area in clean and orderly fashion - 5S\nFollow standardized work instructions\nParticipate in Lean Manufacturing efforts\nParticipate in Kaizen events\nCover other positions following appropriate training as needed\nQualifications for the role:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nMinimum one month or less similar or related work experience\nAbility to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request parts or supplies verbally or in writing\nCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\nWe value people from different backgrounds.
