Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEngineering Supervisor__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to create electrical connection diagrams that require knowledge of ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear to meet objectives. Assignments typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques. Also, will actively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-onsite.\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Mebane, NC.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nUtilize engineering tools to create connection diagrams and assign terminal points for wire in engineered to order projects\nReview electrical schematic accuracy and work with project engineers to create desired electrical connections to meet project specific applications\nCustomize electrical device layout and create 2D drawings for wire harnesses and instrument door and barrier punching\nEnsure all designs work to meet company, industry, and customer’s technical standards/requirements (i.e. NEC, ANSI, IEEE, customer project specifications, etc.).\nAddress manufacturing concerns or questions related to electrical wiring\nProvide feedback and solutions to project managers and project engineers to meet customer needs\nCreate and document standards for assigning terminal points and rules for wiring\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to improvements in efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction\nProvide feedback for improvement and maintenance of the respective engineering tools and systems (i.e. symbol libraries, guidelines, reference documents, engineering system usability, etc.).\nQualifications for the role\nAssociate’s degree in Engineering Technology or a related field and 4 plus years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field and 2 plus years of relevant experience.\n2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Customer Application Engineering, or Electrical Design.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical diagrams and knowledge in power systems and protection-related matters.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment and specifically with control wiring.\nExperience with electrical distribution equipment.\nProficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer aided design platform.
