Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEngineering Manager__\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. This position works on low complexity orders and special designs, utilizing 3D modeling and CAD tools to develop engineering solutions. \nThe work model for the role is: On-site {#LI-Onsite}\nThis role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in the US.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nResponsibility over the creation of mechanical designs for electrical distribution equipment, specifically ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear.\nWork under the guidance of senior engineers and independently to make decisions about mechanical designs.\nPerforming survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.\nExercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.\nAssisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.\nSupporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.\nParticipating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.\n Qualifications for the role\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field for 4-year engineering degree holders\n0 to 2 years of experience in related positions.\nKnowledge or experience with low complexity orders and mechanical designs, as well as knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.\nPrevious experience or knowledge with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer-aided design platform.\nPrevious experience with 3D design including use of Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design platforms.\nFamiliarity with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other applicable software.\nStrong interpersonal skills: Self-motivation with a high level of creativity, Complex problem-solving skills, Independent thinking and decision-making abilities, Attention to detail and accuracy\nAuthorization to legally work in the US.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge or experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with steel or copper fabrication\nKnowledge or experience of electrical distribution equipment\nComputer Aided Design certification or degree\nInternship or co-op experience in mechanical design or manufacturing\nKnowledge of ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear\nFamiliarity with NEC, ANSI, IEEE standards\nKnowledge of SAP or Windchill is a nice to have.\nKnowledge of the Spanish language is a plus. \nWhat's in it for you:\nWe give you the space to lead, the support to grow, and the chance to make a difference.
