Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nBusiness Line MV Drives Service Operations Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will be part of the engineering team delivering medium voltage drive modernization and upgrade projects. You will create and maintain mechanical design documentation, engineering drawings, bills of material and project-specific deliverables that enable efficient manufacturing, installation, and project execution. Working closely with experienced engineers and senior designers, you will contribute to the successful and timely delivery of customer projects by ensuring accurate technical documentation, effective change management, and high-quality engineering data.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to Motion Services Switzerland in Untersiggenthal. Main stakeholders are Project Management, Sales, Production, Field Service, and fellow Engineering team members.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nCreating and maintaining mechanical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and project-specific design deliverables using CAD tools.\nManaging bills of materials, engineering changes, and technical documentation in SAP and related engineering systems and supporting technical feasibility studies.\nContributing to the project execution by preparing documentation packages for manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.\nCollaborating closely with Project Management, Production, Field Service, and Supply Chain teams to optimize technical documentation and support on-time project delivery.\nQualifications for the role\nCompleted vocational education as a Mechanical Designer (Konstrukteur/in EFZ) or comparable technical qualification.\nA few years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or engineering support within an industrial environment.\nExperience with 3D CAD tools, preferably Solid Edge, and creating technical drawings for manufacturing.\nFamiliarity with SAP for bill of materials, document management, and engineering change processes.\nHands-on mindset and willingness to work closely with production and project execution teams.\nStructured and detail-oriented working style with high standards for quality and accuracy, combined with a continuous improvement mindset.\nFluent in German and comfortable communicating in English.\nOur team dynamics\nYou will join a practical and experienced engineering team supporting customer modernization and upgrade projects for medium voltage drives.
