Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEngineering Supervisor__\nJob Advert\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. Develop BOMs (Bills of Materials) for assigned projects.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Mebane, NC.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nRelease mechanical BOMs to ERP system for assigned orders.\nCreate 3D models and drawings for new requisition special designs using Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent platforms.\nCreate part numbers and drawings for customers’ doors and panels.\nManage PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system and publish new designs.\nUtilize 3D modeling to design engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contractual specification.\nCreates or reviews engineering drawings, specifications and plans required by manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.\nContributes to design reviews and design verification, modifies design, as necessary.\nQualifications for the role\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field required.\n0 - 2 or more years of experience in Electrical Engineering.\nProficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer aided design platform. Computer Aided Design certification or degree.\nFamiliar and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill and other applicable software.\nExperience with 3D design including use of Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design platforms.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with steel or copper fabrication.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with steel or copper fabrication.\nKnowledge of ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear.\nFamiliarity with NEC, ANSI, IEEE standards.\nCandidates already have work authorization to work in the US.\nWhy ABB?\nWhat's in it for you\nWe empower you to take initiative, share ideas, and lead professionally.
