Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.\nThe work model for the role is: On site Monday to Friday 6.30 am to 3.30 pm\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nAssembly, Maintenance & Testing\nAssemble, inspect, repair, and retrofit circuit breakers and switchgear from leading OEMs.\nPerform soldering, welding, wiring, and mechanical/electrical sub-assembly work.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.\nTest, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment using specialized tools.\nConduct preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and retrofit projects.\nComplete service reports and test documentation accurately.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve reliability.\nFollow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including LOTO requirements.\n\n Qualifications for the role\nYou have 2 to 5+ years of experience in circuit breaker and switchgear assembly, maintenance, testing, repair, or manufacturing environments.\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.\nTechnical training or certification in electrical assembly, electrical technology, electromechanics, or a related field.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service manuals.\nExperience with circuit breaker testing and diagnostic equipment is considered a strong asset.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nEmployment Equity & Inclusion Statement (Canada)\nABB values the dedication, commitment, and expertise of all our employees.
