Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nPurchasing ManagerYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.\nThe work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution at Nashik, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nInitiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.\nNegotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.\nRecommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.\nAnalyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.\n Qualifications for the role\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering (should be full-time)\nMinimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, with hands-on experience in PO creation and vendor/supplier management.\nExperience in inventory management and supplier on-time delivery tracking.\nAbility to work closely with Production and Shop-Floor teams to ensure timely material availability.\nExperience in procurement of mechanical commodities such as sheet metal, machining, epoxy, plastic molding, and fasteners.\nSAP MM experience is preferred.\n More about us\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
