By joining us now, you’ll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics-working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.\nThis Position reports to:\nProject ManagerYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will be reporting to the Business Manager - Portfolio and will be responsible for on-site robot debugging which includes robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling.\nThe work model for the role is: #Li_onsite\nThis role is contributing to ABB Robotics for Robot Automotive Division based in Bangalore, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nManage and monitor paint shop projects throughout the execution phase until Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is obtained.\nAchieve and maintain paint process parameters such as DFT, gloss, and color values, including support for underbody coating and spray applications.\nProgram and debug industrial robots for applications like spraying, gluing, flaming, blowing, wiping, and film thickness detection, along with hands-on experience in robot disassembly and maintenance.\nOperate and maintain vision measuring systems and independently perform robot simulations for new model introductions.\nQualifications for the role\nBachelor’s degree or diploma in Paint technology/Chemical engineering/Mechanical.\nMinimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Automation & Paint shops.\nAbility to Paint robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling.\nIn depth knowledge of Atomizers/Spray gun and gluing, flaming, blowing, wipe, film thickness detection.\nFamiliar with Sealant equipment like ABB IDFP, Graco PCF, SCA Dozer and Powder coating/Solvent borne paints/water borne paint knowledge.\nHighly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.\nWe value people from different backgrounds.
