Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nDesign Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nWe are looking for a talented Control SW engineer to join our team at ABB, High Power division's R&D organization. You will be working as a Control Software Design Engineer for key R&D projects. You will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology and software development in the context of power converters. Ideally you are already an expert in your field and ready to take on a senior role contributing to the control SW team’s backlog by implementing features. This role is based in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.\nThe work model for the role is: hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nProductizing control SW features with the team of experts\nActively communicating with the project team and other stakeholders\nMaintaining and developing simulation and verification environments\nQualifications for the role\nIt is relevant that you are familiar with electrical engineering and high-power converters in areas of solar power, battery energy storage, and/or wind power applications\nRelevant work experience in a comparable role is appreciated\nYou have ability to implement and verify power converter control SW design\nYou are familiar with programming in C++ and Python\nYou are comfortable working in the SW team and using simulation tools (e.g. Simulink)\nM.Sc. degree, or PhD, in electrical power and energy engineering, automation other relevant area\nUnderstanding control theory is an asset in the role\nYou are at ease communicating in English\nBenefits\nOur culture and benefits reflect our values: courage, care, curiosity and collaboration.
