Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nR&D Global Unit LeadYour role and responsibilities:\nAs an OT Product Cybersecurity Engineer within ABB Electrification’s Smart Power division, based in Hyderabad, India, your primary focus will be to perform product cybersecurity assessments and support secure product development and compliance readiness. You will conduct risk and gap assessments, contribute to secure development activities, and collaborate with global product teams to demonstrate alignment with ISA/IEC 62443, the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and other applicable cybersecurity requirements.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business Smart Power Division in Hyderabad, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nPerform product cybersecurity assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments against ISA/IEC 62443, the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and other relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards; identify security weaknesses and recommend risk-based mitigation strategies. \nSupport the adoption of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices through threat modeling, security requirements definition, secure design reviews, code review activities, security testing, and release readiness assessments. \nPerform and coordinate product vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability triage, risk assessment, remediation tracking, coordinated vulnerability disclosure, and security incident response support. \nDevelop and evaluate cybersecurity tools, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted solutions that improve product security, assessment efficiency, and secure development practices. \nSupport internal and external audits, customer assessments, and product certification activities by preparing and reviewing cybersecurity evidence. \nCollaborate with global R&D, product management, quality, legal, supply chain, and cybersecurity stakeholders across functions and regions.\nDevelop cybersecurity awareness within product teams by conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, preparing technical guidance documents, and supporting cybersecurity training initiatives.\nQualifications for the role :\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, electronics, or a related field. \n3-5 years of experience in product cybersecurity, secure development, vulnerability management, or cybersecurity compliance. \nExperience in product cybersecurity, including secure development, risk assessment, and the application of ISA/IEC 62443-4-1, ISA/IEC 62443-4-2, or comparable cybersecurity standards and requirements. \nExperience in the following: software or embedded systems, firmware, Linux, networked products, industrial communications, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, software composition analysis, attack testing, or security verification\nExperience with the EU Cyber Resilience Act, or product cybersecurity regulations. \nExperience with ICS, OT, embedded systems, or industrial communication protocols. \nScripting or automation experience using Python or a similar language.\nMore about us :\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
