Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nService Project Management Manager__\nIn this role, you lead the end-to-end execution of Start-up, Commissioning, and aftermarket service projects within the Data Center Services Center of Excellence. The portfolio includes Paralleling Switchgear and Protection & Control projects across the U.S. Electrification Service business. You set clear guidelines, define tasks and milestones, and drive performance through strong coordination, motivation, and feedback. You also safeguard and elevate customer satisfaction by ensuring all requirements, commitments, and project targets are consistently met, delivering high-quality service at every stage of the engagement.\nThe work model for the role is: Remote in the US\n#LI-Remote\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Services Business Area in the United States.\nIn this role your main accountabilities are:\nLeads the project team by establishing execution approach and overseeing project hand-over, planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources and accomplishing project goals\nManaging the development of project planning documents\nMonitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)\nAnalyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned\nWorking with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers\nManaging external suppliers to ensure availability of equipment, systems, material and services\nServe as an escalation point for project issues.\nAchieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements\nBuilding strong relationships with customers and stakeholders\n Qualifications for the role:\nA Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly preferred. Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of.\n3+ years of experience in the electrical industry working as a subject matter expert or project manager with paralleling switchgear, protection and control systems, electrical energy management systems, or electrical field services in the data center or power generation/distribution market\nDemonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors\nKnowledge of IEC61850, GE Zenith, ABB Protection and Control offerings (ZEE600, SSC600, PCM600 and associated relay hardware), Woodward Governor Controls, and/or Envisage energy management solutions are a plus\nA collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills\nMust have strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language\nAbility to travel as necessary up to 20% of the time to support project kickoff and execution or as necessary to support successful execution of assigned projects\nPMP Certification is a plus.\nCandidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US\nWhy ABB?\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
