Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEngineering Manager__\nAre you an experienced engineer ready to develop the future of simulation in the process control field? \nJoin a team where your technical knowledge truly makes a difference.\nAs Senior Project Engineer for DCS Simulation & Modelling, you will be responsible for developments for the simulation environment and process modelling, supporting efficient validation of control solutions and delivering effective customer simulators that set the power industry standard.\nYou bring years of practical experience, deep technical knowledge, and a sharp sense for what works.\nThe work model for the role is: LI-hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Energy Industries Division at ABB Switzerland.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nTaking ownership to realize customer tailored simulation solutions, meeting technical requirements, scope and on-time delivery for medium to high complexity projects in power generation market \nWorking closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seek feedback, and innovate with them to drive and deliver improvements\nAssisting project managers in scope control, risk and opportunity assessments, and implementing improvement and mitigation actions. Additionally, support technical solution development for new sales proposals, from concept through cost analysis and deliverables definition\nDeveloping and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with regulations and contractual requirements.\nWhat we are looking for:\nBachelor’s or master’s in electrical or mechanical engineering or in a related technical field\n5+ years of professional experience in development and realization of training/validation simulation environments including process and thermodynamic modelling for combined cycle power plant or district heating networks \nSolid knowledge in of 3KeyMaster or comparable simulation environment technology\nSound knowledge of large-scale process automation DCS Systems as ABB 800xA or comparable\nBroad knowledge in current engineering practices and codes and standards in the automation field \nA focused, collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with solid written and spoken communication skills.\nBusiness fluent in German and English.\nMore about us:\nEnergy Industries division is enabling safe, smart, and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation, and water sectors.
