Make it your story.\nYour Role: Own the Challenge\nWe are looking for an experienced Machinery Safety & Industrial Specialist to lead the implementation of machine safety standards, ergonomic initiatives, and industrial hygiene programs within a world-class manufacturing environment.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.\nThis is a leadership position responsible for ensuring legal compliance, protecting our employees, and driving safe manufacturing practices across the plant. The role partners closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and EHS to guarantee that safety is built into every stage of our operations.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distributed Systems in San Luis Potosi, S.L.P.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nReporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.\nFacilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.\nProviding feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.\nSupporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.\nCoordinate machine risk assessments in accordance with international ISO standards.\nApprove machinery safety and ergonomic requirements before commissioning new equipment or production line modifications.\nLead projects related to the installation, modification, maintenance, and validation of manufacturing equipment.\nEnsure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards regarding machinery safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.\nIdentify and implement actions to reduce machinery and ergonomic risks.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support operational excellence and accident prevention.\nPromote continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace safety and employee well-being.\nOur team dynamics\nYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.\n Qualifications for the role\nBachelor’s degree\nMinimum 3 years of experience in machinery safety, ergonomics, or industrial safety within a manufacturing environment.\nMedium English level (interaction with global teams).\nExperience leading technical projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong knowledge of machine risk assessments based on international standards.\nExperience with machinery installation, maintenance, or equipment validation projects.\nKnowledge of Management of Change is considered a strong advantage.\nKnowledge of ISO (45001/14001/12100)\n Benefits\nWe also offer our employees the following benefits:\nPerformance Bonus\nSaving fund\nPaid parental leave\nLife insurance\nRetirement plan\nHealth and dental insurance\nWellbeing program\nFlex days\nEmployee Assistance Program (PAE)\nAccess to development platforms: Spark, Harvard Manager Mentor and English Learning EF English Live School (EF)\n\nWhat's in it for you\nWe empower you to take initiative, challenge ideas, and lead with confidence.
