Run what runs the world.\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing daily\nmanufacturing operations for Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear and related electrical\ndistribution products. This position ensures the safe, quality-focused, and efficient\nexecution of production schedules while meeting customer delivery commitments. The\nsupervisor provides leadership to production employees, drives continuous improvement\ninitiatives, and ensures compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC, 6801 Industrial Drive\n\nYour Responsibilities:\nPrepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to\ncost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and\nresources.\nDevelops team members, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to\nthe highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital\nthroughout Operations.\nDevelops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues,\nand delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and\nsupplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.\nCollaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing\nprinciples into production processes.\nFocus on ensuring capacity efficiency meets production expectations. Identifying\npotential gaps and recovery plans when needed.\nLead as an example and drive a culture of lean leadership and accountability.\nYour Background\nAssociate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management,\nBusiness, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education\nand relevant manufacturing experience. Candidates with a High School Diploma or\nGED and significant manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2\nyears of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing operations, production processes, quality\nsystems, inventory control, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience coordinating production schedules, workforce allocation, and\noperational priorities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.\nUnderstanding production planning, materials management, and supply chain\nprocesses.\nExperience using ERP systems such as SAP for production reporting, inventory\ntransactions, and operational management.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nStrong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills with the ability to\nmotivate and engage teams.\nMore about us\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
