Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nQuality Leader__\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC\nYour role and responsibilities:\nConducts test protocols, as assigned, to ensure the parts, products, and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations for incoming, manufacturing or final inspection quality, as applicable.\nSupports quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing, and validation, as applicable in the local organization.\nAssists in specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.\nReports quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.\nCollaborates in improving existing test protocols and capability, resulting in greater efficiency, and accuracy.\nEvaluates quantitative metrics that provide descriptive data for the determination of compliance with requirements.\nTrains local operational teams in quality assurance and testing routines and verifies that testing is performed as a part of the specified control plans.\n Qualifications for the role:\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 standards preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nSkilled in using measurement and inspection tools.\nExperience with non-conformance documentation preferred.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.\nBasic knowledge of statistical analysis tools.\nExperience with ERP or MES systems (SAP preferred).\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively across departments.\nKnowledge of continuous improvement tools preferred.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nLegally authorized to work in the U.S.\nAbility to safely use a ladder and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.\nCertifications such as Certified Quality Inspector or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt are a plus.\nWhy ABB?\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
