This position reports to:
Testing Manager__
The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC
Your role and responsibilities:
- Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance Performs physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes.
- Assist the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process.
- Inspects and troubleshoots any identified issues, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintains accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
Qualifications for the role:
- 3+ years of working in an electrical or wiring environment or 1+ years of working in electrical or wiring environment plus applicable electrical course work
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Experience with customer relationships
- Experience performing planned maintenance of electrical equipment
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required
- Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, other hand tools, and electrical current & voltage measurement tools as needed.
- Knowledge of voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC electrical circuits
- Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices
