Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nTesting Manager__\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC\nYour role and responsibilities:\nExecutes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance Performs physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes.\nAssist the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process.\nInspects and troubleshoots any identified issues, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.\nMaintains accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.\nParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.\nQualifications for the role:\n3+ years of working in an electrical or wiring environment or 1+ years of working in electrical or wiring environment plus applicable electrical course work\n\nReading and understanding electrical drawings\nData Analysis & Reporting\nExperience with customer relationships\nExperience performing planned maintenance of electrical equipment\nBasic computer knowledge and skills\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nLegal authorization to work in the US is required\nKnowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, other hand tools, and electrical current & voltage measurement tools as needed.\nKnowledge of voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC electrical circuits\nAbility to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed\nAbility to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs\nKnowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices\nWhy ABB?\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
