Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEngineering Manager__\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nIn this position, you will help deliver ABB's power distribution solutions by creating high-quality electrical designs and engineering documentation for customer projects. You will work closely with project managers, manufacturing, supply chain, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into accurate, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs.\nYou will play a key role in engineering excellence by supporting design reviews, optimizing engineering solutions, and continuously improving design quality, productivity, and standardization.\nYou Will Be Mainly Accountable For\nDevelop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, terminal plans, cable schedules, and other engineering drawings using EPLAN, AutoCAD, or equivalent electrical design software.\nPrepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and manufacturing deliverables in accordance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and ABB standards.\nReview customer technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation to ensure compliant and optimized engineering solutions.\nParticipate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings to ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and within project targets.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, testing, and commissioning teams to resolve design-related issues and support smooth project execution throughout the product lifecycle.\nEnsure designs comply with ABB engineering practices, industry standards, quality requirements, cybersecurity guidelines, and safety regulations.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve design quality, standardization, productivity, and cost efficiency.\nProvide technical support to internal stakeholders during manufacturing, factory testing, installation, and commissioning activities when required.\nQualifications for the Role\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.\n2-5 years of experience in electrical design, electrical engineering, or related roles within switchgear, power distribution, industrial automation, or manufacturing environments.\nProficiency in EPLAN Electric, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical design software.\nSolid understanding of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centers (MCC), control panels, and electrical assemblies.\nExperience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.\nExperience preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), material specifications, and project documentation for manufacturing and project execution.\nGood understanding of electrical engineering standards and design practices, including IEC 61439, IEC 62271, IEC 60076, or related standards.
