Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nProduction Development Specialist__\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Maintenance team. Each day, you will conduct activities according to agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by increasing the overall efficiency of the equipment and production line.\nThe work model for the role is Onsite.\nThis role is contributing to the Smart Power division in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nResponding to emergencies/breakdowns. \nSetting calibration and adjusting equipment, machinery, and instruments to comply with production specifications and instructions. \nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment. \nDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. \nInstall, repair, and replace electrical components such as motors, sensors, drives, switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels. \nRead and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and automation schematics. \nCarry out electrical testing, calibration, and commissioning activities to ensure equipment performance and compliance with specifications. \nSupport troubleshooting activities on PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment. \nAble to work on any of our 3 production shifts. \nOur team dynamics:\nYou will join a dynamic, talented, collaborative and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.\nQualifications for the role\nTechnical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation or a related field. \n2-5 years of manufacturing experience\nBasic knowledge of the English language. \nGood knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications. \nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. \nStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills on electrical and automation systems. \nKnowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, inverters, sensors, and PLC fundamentals. \nFamiliarity with electrical safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures. \nStrong commitment, reliability, problem-solving attitude, and willingness to learn. \nAvailability to work night shifts, weekends, and on a continuous shift schedule if required. \nCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\nMore about us\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
