Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nProduction Development Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to inspect and test parts, products, and systems sourced from suppliers and internally produced. Each day, you will ensure that only compliant items are released to the next stage and finally delivered to the customer. You will also showcase your expertise by employing standard test protocols and applying specifications to ensure quality.\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Smart Power division inMebane, NC. \nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nReviewing supplier PPAP documentation for completeness against ABB requirements.\nPerforming first article inspections on new and changed purchased parts.\nTracking and updating PPAP status for new parts and engineering changes in the system.\nSetting up receiving inspection plans and verifying incoming material conformance.\nInspecting purchased parts using gauges, CMM and other measurement tools to drawing requirements.\nDocumenting nonconformances and initiating requests for SCARs to the Supplier Quality Engineer.\nSegregating, tagging and processing nonconforming material through MRB.\nCoordinating internal sorts, containment and rework of suspect purchased material.\nMaintaining supplier quality records, deviations and certifications in the QMS.\nCollecting and reporting incoming quality data and metrics such as PPM and reject rate\nOur team dynamics:\nYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there. \nQualifications for the role:\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nAuthorized to work in the US legally\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nStrong interpersonal skills\nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal\nPractical experience with applicable software\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 standards preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nSkilled in using measurement and inspection tools.\nExperience with non-conformance documentation preferred.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.\nBasic knowledge of statistical analysis tools.\nExperience with ERP or MES systems (SAP preferred).\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively across departments.\nKnowledge of continuous improvement tools preferred.\nWhat's in it for you?\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
