Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nService Operations Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Marine & Ports Business of ABB, based in Singapore and supporting the service team across different markets/regions.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nPerforming mechanical service, maintenance, inspection, repair and overhaul work on Propulsion Service units in accordance with service instructions and the agreed scope of work.\nCarrying out installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities at customer sites, shipyards, dry docks and onboard vessels.\nIdentifying technical issues, supporting root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions for mechanical service cases.\nEnsuring that all work is carried out in line with ABB’s safety requirements, quality standards, work instructions and applicable site-specific rules.\nPreparing clear service reports, technical findings and documentation after completing assignments.\nMaintaining professional customer communication and providing practical technical guidance during service assignments.\nContributing to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, field feedback and development ideas related to service methods, tools and product reliability\nQualifications for the role\nDegree, diploma, or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Maintenance Technology, or a related technical field.\nRelevant experience in mechanical maintenance, installation, commissioning, overhaul, or repair of industrial or marine equipment.\nExperience working in marine, shipyard, offshore, power generation, or other heavy industrial environments is preferred.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and engineering documentation accurately.\nStrong safety awareness, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the flexibility to work in demanding operational environments.\nEffective communication, teamwork, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.\nProficient in spoken and written English; additional language capabilities are an asset.\nWhat's in it for you?\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
