Working as part of a team, you will update forecasting models based on new information available and identify trends and problems. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and optimize business outcomes.\nThe work model for the role is based in Napier, New Zealand\nThis role is contributing to the Global Critical Power Division, based in Napier, New Zealand. Main stakeholders are Finance management, Division leadership, and cross-functional business teams.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nSupporting the analysis of business performance versus plan and proposing improvement actions.\nPerforming benchmarking of key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar businesses within ABB.\nWorking with management team to understand and analyze drivers of financial performance and identifying market trends.\nPreparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and analyzing impact to the organization and validating the accuracy of financial data and business information and reporting through reconciliation and review of exceptions.\nProviding financial support for the Critical Power service operations and strategic initiatives.\nMaintaining accurate financial records, audit trails and documentation for tax, internal and external audit reviews.\nOur team dynamics\nYou will join a collaborative and results-driven financial team, where you will be able to thrive and develop your analytical capabilities while supporting critical business operations in a rapidly growing division.\nQualifications for the role\nYou are highly skilled in financial analysis tools and methodologies such as Excel, financial modeling platforms, and business intelligence software, and demonstrate strong knowledge of the industrial and power protection markets.\nYou have established skills and experience in financial analysis, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting within a manufacturing or industrial business environment.\nYou are proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data management platforms.\nYou are passionate about delivering accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis, with strong problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.\nYou hold a degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience in financial analysis or business planning.\nYou are at ease communicating in English.\nYou have the right to work in New Zealand.\nMore about us\nABB Critical Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
