Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nSenior HR Business Partner, Operations (ELIP US/LATAM)__\nYour role and responsibilities:\nThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a core member of the local Business Management Team who will provide on-location HR support to employees, including managers, to ensure effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance in close collaboration with HR network. This HRBP will be located in Jonesboro, AR and will apply HR policies defined by Group Centers of Expertise (CoE), including on Labor Relations as defined in each country with Country HR. Ensures & assures local compliance. \nThe work model for the role is: Onsite in Jonesboro, AR. This role is contributing to the ELIP division in US/LATAM. #LI-Onsite\nDirect Reports: 1 \nTravel: ~15%\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nProvide HRBP support for manufacturing plant, site leadership and employees including but not limited to employee relations, guidance on compliance related issues, assistance with recruitment of salaried positions, wage and benefit guidance, proactive and consistent performance management.\n\nAssures deployment of divisional/corporate HR strategy and initiatives. Assist with the development of and delivery of developmental training and opportunities for site leadership and employees.\n\nHR generalist responsibilities, including developing and interpreting policy, benefits administration, employee relations and recruiting.\n\nLead, coach and develop HR resources supporting the Jonesboro site. Model and practice positive employee relations including but not limited to walking the site floor regularly, conducting roundtables, identifying and executing opportunities to improve employee retention and morale\n\nCoordinate people review and succession planning processes at the site level. Coordinate with the Health and Safety function on programs, metrics, training issues, etc., to continuously improve our safety program\n\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor’s degree and at least 7 years related HR generalist experience with at least three of those in a manufacturing environment.\n\nIntermediate to advanced skill set in Microsoft office applications.\n\nSolid knowledge of employment law\n\nDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization\n\nDemonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and ability to gather and analyze information objectively and skillfully\n\nStrong planning and organizational skills\n\nStrong judgment, decision making and influencing skills.\n\nCandidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProven ability to balance business partnership with employee advocacy\n\nExperience coaching leaders\n\nCompany Information:\nThe demand for electricity is constantly growing, while our natural resources are becoming scarcer.
