Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nR&D Team Lead__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.\nThe work model for the role is: hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Smart Building business in Vittuone (Milan).\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nWorking as a reliable contributor in R&D projects\n\nUsing technical know-how in your own area of competence to solve problems.\n\nPerforming various tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, thermal, software), from building concepts, gathering requirements to designing, implementing, integrating, testing, technology transfer or maintenance, and operations.\n\nSupporting the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost), and raising and addressing risks.\n\nKnowing some of the key drivers for ABB in your own area and performing activities in line with the current direction.\n\nQualifications for the role\nEducation: a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering.\n\nTechnical Skills: Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical engineering and electrical systems.\n\nProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nKnowledge of MATLAB.\n\nKnowledge of SAP is a plus.\n\nLanguages: ability to communicate fluently in both Italian and English.\n\nSoft Skills: adaptability under pressure, proactivity, problem-solving orientation, and commitment to deliver results by taking responsibility to execute tasks and projects, participating within a dynamic team environment.\n\nBenefits\nFlexibility and work-life balance: flexible working hours, hybrid work options and a strong focus on work-life integration.\n\nMeal allowance: access to canteen\n\nMore about us\nABB Smart Buildings enables optimization of energy efficiency, safety, security and comfort for any building type, through new installations or retrofit solutions.
