Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nGlobal Head IS Enterprise Architecture__\nYour role and responsibilities:\nThe IS Architect within the Enterprise Architecture team supports the development, adoption and continuous improvement of enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, methodologies and governance practices across ABB. Working closely with Enterprise and Domain Architects, the role contributes to the definition and maintenance of architecture principles, standards and reusable architectural assets, helping ensure consistency, alignment and optimization of the IS landscape.\nThe role helps embed the Enterprise Architecture practice across ABB Business Areas and Divisions and supports architecture governance activities, ensuring decisions are transparent, documented and aligned with strategic objectives.\nThe role reports to the Enterprise Architecture Practice & Governance Lead and has no direct reports\nThe work model for the role is: hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDefine, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and reusable architecture building blocks.\nPartner with Domain Architects to ensure alignment of domain architectures with ABB's enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and target state.\nDrive standardization, simplification, interoperability, reuse, and optimization across the ABB IS landscape.\nProvide guidance and support to Domain and Solution Architects, ensuring consistent application of architecture principles, standards, and best practices.\nContribute to architecture governance processes, reviews, compliance assessments, and the management of architecture risks, deviations, and decisions.\nPromote the adoption of enterprise architecture methodologies, frameworks, tools, and governance practices across Business Areas and Divisions.\nFacilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement across enterprise, domain, solution, and business teams to strengthen architecture maturity.\nStay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to enhance enterprise architecture capabilities, practices, and governance..\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n6+ years of experience in Enterprise, Domain, Solution Architecture, technology consulting, or a related architecture discipline.\nStrong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, standards, governance processes, and reference architectures.\nExperience with architecture methodologies and modeling tools, preferably TOGAF and Ardoq.\nKnowledge of architecture reviews, compliance assessments, and exception management processes.\nExperience working within complex, decentralized, matrix, or multi-division organizations.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with a structured and proactive approach.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.\nBuilding a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
