Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nIS Manager__\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nWe are seeking a skilled IT Specialist with experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), with solutions from the Critical Manufacturing vendor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining MES solutions to support our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of MES technologies and their application in a manufacturing environment.\nThe work model for the role is: hybrid(onsite or remote according to business needs) #Linkedin_Hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDesign and implement MES solutions using Critical Manufacturing's MES platform.\nWork with cross-functional teams in manufacturing units to provide technical support, help gather requirements and understand business needs.\nContribute to creating and updating documentation on MES best practices, development guidelines and ABB-specific project standards.\nHelp monitor MES system performance, report issues and suggest improvements.\nKeep up with MES platform developments and technology trends and take part in learning activities such as e-learning, summits and community initiatives.\nHelp share knowledge between sites by flagging local solutions that could be reused globally.\nContribute to automation initiatives that improve development and deployment processes.\nFollow the agreed coding standards and design patterns, take part in code reviews and act on feedback.\nImprove development and deployment processes by introducing and managing automation initiatives.\nWrite and maintain unit and integration tests, following the program's testing standards.\nSupport in architectural design analysis and technical validation for MES Local Projects.\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in developing and implementing MES solutions.\nBasic understanding manufacturing processes and how MES solutions can enhance efficiency and productivity.\nPractical experience with the Critical Manufacturing development framework\nProficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to MES development, with reference to Critical Manufacturing's MES platform (back-end, front-end, automation), such as C#, .Net Framework, SQL, PowerShell and Command Line shell scripting languages, RESTful services, HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, cross-browser compatibility and rendering behavior, front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular), Unit testing frameworks.\nProblem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and debug complex technical issues.\nCommunication skills and the ability to work well in a multicultural, geographically distributed team, including explaining technical topics clearly to colleagues.\nAwareness of industry standards and best practices in MES implementation.\nDemonstrated commitment to building deeper MES knowledge and following certification paths as needed\nHave some experience with Azure DevOps\n\nYou are comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.\nCompensation Package\nAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:\nApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico\nMinimum annual salary: € 48,000\nVariable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus\nThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.\nBenefits as per policy\nFlexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a strong focus on work-life integration and Wellbeing support for employees and their families\nWelfare plan with a wide range of personalized services\nCanteen or meal vouchers provided\nMore about us\nOur mission in ABB IS (Information Systems) is to harness the power of information technology to deliver valuable, reliable, and competitive IS services for ABB.
