ABB is looking for a LATAM Business Development - Autonomous Operations to join our Process Industries team, acting across Brazil, Peru, and Chile.\nIf you have deep expertise in the mining industry, a strong understanding of automation and digital technologies, and the ability to engage C-level stakeholders in consultative conversations, this opportunity is for you!\nResponsibilities\nAct as the primary interface with mining customers across Latin America, understanding their operational challenges and translating them into Autonomous Operations solutions.\nLead consultative engagements with key accounts, listening, analyzing, and designing tailored solutions that combine automation, digital, and AI capabilities.\nDevelop and articulate the solution architecture for Autonomous Operations, bridging customer needs with ABB's technology portfolio.\nCollaborate closely with R&D and internal teams to drive solution development and ensure alignment between market demand and product roadmap.\nCreate and materialize business opportunities by identifying customer pain points and building compelling value propositions, from concept to solution design.\nNavigate executive-level conversations (C-Level), positioning ABB as a strategic partner in the journey toward autonomous mining operations.\nSupport the go-to-market strategy for Autonomous Operations in the mining segment, with a focus on concentrator plants.\nRequirements\n Deep expertise in the mining industry, with solid knowledge of mineral processing operations (especially concentrator plants).\nProven experience in automation and/or digital solutions applied to industrial environments ability to connect both worlds.\nStrong executive-level communication skills ability to engage, influence, and build trust with C-level stakeholders.\nAnalytical and consultative mindset ability to listen, synthesize complex information, and translate it into structured solution designs.\nFluent/Advanced proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.\n Availability for frequent travel (minimum 50% of the time) across Brazil, Peru, Chile, and the broader LATAM region.\nNice to Have / Differentiators\nExperience with AI/ML-based solutions or predictive analytics applied to industrial operations.\nFamiliarity with ABB's automation portfolio (e.g., ABB Ability™ System 800xA, MineOptimize).\nPrevious experience in business development, pre-sales, or solution consulting in the mining or heavy industry sector.\nBackground in remote operations centers or integrated operations environments.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to be part of a pioneering initiative within ABB, developing Autonomous Operations solutions that are defining the next era of the mining industry.\nA role with high strategic visibility, working directly with major mining clients and ABB's global R&D teams.\nCollaborative environment with continuous learning, advanced technologies, and strong development culture.\nGrowth possibilities within a solid career path inside ABB's Process Industries division.\nAbout ABB's Process Industries Division\nABB's Process Industries division is a global leader in delivering integrated automation, electrification, and digital solutions for complex industrial environments.
