You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.\nThe work model for the role is: #Li_linkedin\nThis role is contributing to the ABB Robotics in Bangalore, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nOversee project financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis to ensure alignment with project objectives and schedules.\nAct as Project Controller, driving project reviews, monitoring revenue, gross margins, cash flow, net working capital, cost variances, and overall project financial performance.\nEnsure accurate and timely project financial reporting, including balance sheet, income statement, project status reports, forecasts, and monthly book closures.\nSupport commercial and contractual activities including contract reviews, change orders, claims management, risk reviews, proposal evaluations, and contract structuring.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, ABB policies, global standards, statutory regulations, and governance requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks.\nPartner with business leaders and the Local Division Controller on MIS reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, strategic initiatives, treasury activities, and continuous process improvements.\n Qualifications for the role\nQualified Accountant (CA/CMA/MBA Finance or equivalent) with 8-12 years of experience in Business Finance, Project Controlling, or Commercial Finance.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, project accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and book closing activities.\nExperience in project review processes, revenue recognition, profitability analysis, cost control, cash flow management, and financial reporting.\nHands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP; exposure to CFIN and financial transformation projects will be an added advantage.\nGood understanding of contract management, risk management, internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.\nProven ability to support business strategy through financial analysis, management reporting, and performance monitoring.\nStrong project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nExcellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nWe value people from different backgrounds.
